Divvy Bike Rental
Looking for a unique and interesting way to see Chicago? Try renting a Divvy bike from Chicago’s official bike system. By now, you’ve most likely seen quite a few docking stations throughout the city. Divvy now services over 580 stations, totaling 5,800 bikes.
Divvy allows you an easily accessible way to see Chicago without having to maneuver public transportation or get held up in traffic. All you have to do is grab a bike and ride over to your next destination – it’s that simple.
How Does Divvy Work?
For those of you just visiting Chicago, you can purchase a 24-hour pass for $9.95, either at the Divvy Kiosks located at each bike station or by downloading the App.
During the 24-hour period, you can take as many 30min rides that you like! Additional usage fees apply for going over 30min: $2 for 31-60mins, $6 for 61-90mins and $8 for each additional 30mins over 91mins.
Once you’ve purchased your pass, simply find the closest Divvy Bike Station and unlock your bike. Ride your bike wherever you’d like to go, dock it and you’re done! To see where Divvy Bikes are available, check out their map or download the mobile app.
Rules of the Road
Don’t forget to review the Rules of the Road before renting your bike. You can also find a link to Chicago’s Complete Streets resource that provides all of Chicago’s cycling laws and safety information.
