Carolina Blanco WIM ( Women’s International Chess Master) will be at the All Girls National Tournament.
A great role model for girls who are interested in Chess.

Hyatt Regency McCormick means Hospitality and Kindness! Although we weren’t able to book a room for last years Renaissance Chicago Chess Tournament at the Hyatt Regency McCormick. We had time to wander around the hotel and visit some of the people that had booked rooms there between the rounds. The staff was awesome, they were friendly and so helpful. We had questions about possibly just coming down to stay for a weekend visit ( we live in the south suburbs of Will County) everyone there treated us like they had known us forever. From the front desk staff right down to the service staff, just a great bunch of people who you could tell were happy to be there and happy to be able to help us in anyway they could. So when we found out that the tournament was going to be held there this year we couldn’t wait to book a room. The convenience of being able to stay there will do a lot as far as relieving the stress of having somewhere comfortable to relax between chess rounds for our daughter and ourselves. As well as having a great variety of restaurants to choose from for our evening meals without having to leave the hotel. The city views and the views of the lake are going to be awesome. We have looked forward to this all year. And can’t wait to stay there!

This is the first time our school has entered into the Chicago National All-Girl tournament with a team, and we are so excited and nervous at the same time. But we are glad to know there is a home away from home at Hyatt. Whenever we have contacted the hotel after making the reservation, the staff was able to ease our anxieties by assuring us they do have what we needed such as a refrigerator, and will attempt to have a humidifier ready in case we need it, as well as accommodate our needs for a relax and quiet night of sleep to be ready for the arduous tournament these girls face for next several days at Hyatt stay. So thank you. We look forward to our stay.

To Whom It May Concern, It would be a wonderful experience for my girls to be guests of the day. I am bring seven girls from Norwood Elementary, a Title I school in Miami Gardens, FL. We have raised funds all year to be able to attend. These girls have won over 30 trophies at local and state events this year, 2016. What a rich experience this would provide. Thank you for your consideration. Barbara Reed, Chess Coach, Volunteer.

My oldest daughter is so excited to return to the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago for the Girls’ Nationals Chess Tournament. We has such a lovely experience last Spring with the friendly front desk team, helpful concierges, and wonderful breakfasts! She really enjoyed the pool, and felt safe crossing the street between the hotel and convention center on the covered walkway. I loved the spotless room and comfortable beds. We also loved the views of Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago. This year we are bringing her little sister, who has been hearing about the experience for a year and are coming in a day early to enjoy the hotel and explore a little more of Chicago.

Last year I won the All-Girls National Chess Championship Under 12 in Hyatt Regency McCormick Place.

And in 2013 I won the All-Girls National Chess Championship Under 10, also in Chicago.

After twice becoming the All-Girls National Chess Champion, can I be the VIP Guest of the Day?

I’m flying from Taiwan to NY and then NY to Chicago so I can bring my daughter to this tournament. A room upgrade would be nice. . .

Like how you have the chess boards set up at front desk

This will be our daughter’s first trip to Girls Nationals, so to say that there a bit of nervous excitement about the trip is an understatement! Playing 6 games of chess over 3 days against the top female players in the country is a huge opportunity, but one that will be mentally and physically exhausting. Fortunately, we can be confident that the clearly world class Hyatt Regency will provide warm, comfortable facilities that will allow her to rest and recharge between games, so that she can begin each match relaxed and focused.
