Draft Town Returns to Chicago

Draft Town returns to Grand Park April 28-30th, 2016.

After a successful draft and fan celebration in Grant Park last year, the NFL Draft will be returning to Chicago for 2016. The dates are set for April 28-30th, 2016.

The free fan festival, dubbed Draft Town, was embraced by the league and fans with around 200,000 attendees.  Last year’s activities included a flag football tournament, the ability to race football stars using virtual technology, and viewing of the Vince Lombardi trophy and championship rings among other football memorabilia.  Photo opportunities were everywhere with giant helmets in Daley Plaza and player cutouts throughout Grant Park.  Each team also had it’s own themed tent in Draft Town for fans to unite.

Details for this year’s Draft Town are still TBA, but not to worry.  Last year’s details were not released until as little as 2 weeks prior to the event.  Given the success of last year, the lack of details shouldn’t deter football fans at this point.  The only detail released so far is that Draft Town will be expanding in 2016.
