Chicagoland Pumpkin Patches & Fall Festivals

Millennium Park, ChicagoThe weather is feeling a little cooler, football is back, and it’s almost officially fall.  Time to grab a pumpkin spice latte and head to the apple orchard, corn maze, or pumpkin patch for some fall fun!  Here’s our list of the best pumpkin farms in Chicagoland and some tips to help you plan your visit:

 

  • Bengston’s Pumpkin Farm:Bengston's Pumpkin FarmFree unlimited kiddie rides included with general admission for the entire 2015 season. Admission includes kids village, fun barn, pony & camel rides, petting zoo, tractor pulled hayrides, pumpkin launcher, haunted barn, pig races, slides, swing, and mini train ride, Pumpkins, gordes, and fall decor for sale as well as apple cinnamon donuts new for 2015! Bengston’s opens September 26th.  Weekday admission is $9.99, Weekends and holidays $13.99. Children 2 and under are free. Open Daily 10am-8pm. 13341 W 151st St. Homer Glen, IL
  • Goebbert’s Farm & Garden Center: No general admission at Goebbert’s, just pay as you go for what activities you want.  Attractions include Animal Land & Little Farmers Play Yard weekdays $10 and weekends and holidays $12. Children 2 and under are free. Pony & camel rides $5, Wagon ride $5, Jumping pillow $5, Haunted House $5.  Open NOW. 9am-6pm daily.  40 W. Higgins Rd. South Barrington, IL
  • Odyssey Fun Farm: This 13 acre pumpkin patch and 15 acre corn maze opens September 27th for the season, but will be closed Sept 30th and Oct 1st.  Family friendly activities include the Odyssey Petting Zoo, Inflatable Kidz Zone, Corn Cannons, Pig Races, Cow Train, Pillow Jumpy, Bouncy Horses, and Hay Rides,   Attractions available for additional fees include zip lining and pony rides.  For those who dare, a Zombie Safari Hay Ride and paintball experience is available Fri, Sat, and Sun nights in October 7pm until midnight for $20.   • County Line Orchard:  Orchard season opened September 6th. Barnyard Jams with music and dancing, be sure to check their performance schedule, campfires, hayrides, corn maze, train rides, kid’s farm, and of course, apple picking.  Three admission prices to choose from: General Admission just $1 for You-Pick, tractor rides and picnic area.  Lil’ Farmer Pass $5 unlimited access to Kid’s Farm, You-Pick, tractor rides, and picnic area.  Explorer Pass $7 includes access to the corn maze.  Children 2 & under are free.  Orchard Store open 8am-6pm daily.  Open NOW.  200 S.   • Sonny Acres Farm: Open mid-September through Halloween, Sonny Acres hosts hay rides, haunted houses, amusement rides, and more.  No general admission.  Instead, each attraction has an individual ticket price and tickets are $1/piece.  Kiddie Koral 2 tickets, Pony Rides 4 tickets, Petting Zoo 2 tickets, Spook Shed 2 tickets, Dizzy Zone 2 tickets, Haunted Barn 5 tickets, Wagon Rides 4 tickets.  Most attractions are open 10am-6pm daily after Sept 19th. 29 W. 310 North Ave. West Chicago, IL
