Cermak-McCormick Place Green Line Now Open


551510_10152527138941626_9050395249682750735_n It’s an exciting day for Chicago’s South Loop as the long-awaited Cermak-McCormick Place CTA Green Line Stop is now officially open!

This station, part of Chicago’s historic elevated train system, is larger than most boasting entrances on both sides of Cermak Rd. between Wabash and State as well as an additional entrance on 23rd St.  This 23rd St. entrance is just 2.5 blocks from the West Building of McCormick Place.

Hyatt Regency McCormick Place guests will want to use the Cermak entrance, however, which is 4.5 blocks from the hotel.  The McCormick Place Event Center, which will host many events for DePaul University, is planned for the block of Cermak and Indiana will be just 2.5 blocks from the new stop.  The Cermak-McCormick Place station also has bike racks and and a Divvy bike-sharing station.

This new transportation option for the South Loop will undoubtedly benefit residents, businesses, conventioneers, and our hotel guests.
