January May Be Frozen, But You Don’t Have to Build a Snowman

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but there are many things to do in Chicago that are so delightful. And you will definitely need a place to go, to escape the frigid cold, and get out of the snow.

There is no use in denying it, folks, Winter is here, and in full force. The temperature will be rough, but as long as you bundle up, we swear, it will be okay! So, break out your puffy coats, lace up your snow boots, and don your beanies, because there are a multitude of things to do in Chicago, that are worth braving the cold for.

Probably our most favorite way to escape the cold this month is with the free museum days around town! The museums of Chicago are without a doubt amazing, and are a must-see when in the city. Below is a breakdown of the free dates:

While this is not where you “Turn off your mind, relax, and float down stream,” Tomorrow Never Knows is an awesome music festival that showcases up-and-coming, as well as local, Chicago artists. Presented by two of the best music venues in the city, Schubas, and Lincoln Hall, this is a one-of-a-kind music festival, that is sure to be a hit.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Winnipeg Jets: January 16
Let’s be honest, we love any and all Hawks games, but we are especially looking forward to this one, because it is going to be a tough one, which makes it so much more entertaining to watch!
