Wedding Wednesday: Unique Themes

This week one of the trending things on Facebook was the “Under the Sea” themed-wedding photo shoot. Eric and Ariel share a special moment.Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, every little girl dreamed of being a Disney princess, and it was charming to see that happily ever after come true in real life.

While not every bride is willing to rock the red hair and sea shells, themes are a huge part of a wedding reception, and it did get us wondering about some of the trendiest, most unique wedding themes out there…

  • Harry Potter
Now, almost every child of the 90’s grew up with not only the Harry Potter novels, but surrounded by the movie phenomenon as well. It was the perfect series that both boys and girls loved and connected with. This couples love for each other matched their love for the boy wizard’s tale!
  • The Great Gatsby
Nothing says “Something old, something new…” like a new-age spin on an old piece of literature. Vintage and glam are all of the rage at this swingin’ affair.

  • Videogames
Quirky; unconventional; slightly nerdy, and incredibly awesome, you know it’s a match made in heaven when you’ve got Mario and Zelda at the top of your wedding cake. It’s nice when a couple can embrace their inner child, and also let their shared favorite hobbies be a part of their big day.
